Watermarks

Add text or image watermarks to protect your documents.

Adding a Watermark

  1. Click DocumentWatermark
  2. Choose Add
  3. Configure your watermark
  4. Click Apply

Watermark Types

Text Watermark

Add text like “CONFIDENTIAL” or “DRAFT”:

  1. Select Text
  2. Enter your text
  3. Configure appearance
  4. Choose position

Image Watermark

Add a logo or image:

  1. Select Image
  2. Upload your image file
  3. Adjust size and position
  4. Set opacity

Appearance Options

Text Options

  • Font: Choose typeface
  • Size: Set font size
  • Color: Select color (often gray or light blue)
  • Opacity: 0-100% transparency
  • Rotation: Angle of text (common: 45°)

Image Options

  • Scale: Size relative to page
  • Opacity: Transparency level
  • Rotation: Angle of rotation

Position

Placement

  • Center: Middle of page
  • Tile: Repeat across page
  • Custom: Specific X/Y coordinates

Layer

  • Behind content: Watermark appears under page content
  • On top of content: Watermark appears over page content

Page Range

Apply watermark to specific pages:

  • All pages
  • Page range: e.g., 1-10
  • Odd/even pages

Presets

Common watermark presets:

Managing Watermarks

Edit

  1. Click DocumentWatermark
  2. Click Edit
  3. Modify settings
  4. Click Apply

Remove

  1. Click DocumentWatermark
  2. Click Remove
  3. Confirm removal

Watermarks in Penvio are non-destructive. The original content is preserved and watermarks can be removed later.

Tips

  • Use low opacity (20-40%) so content remains readable
  • Test watermarks on different page backgrounds
  • Consider diagonal placement for better coverage
  • Use company logos for branding
