Text Callouts
Callouts connect a text box to a specific point on the page.
Creating a Callout
- Select the Callout tool
- Click to place the anchor point (where the line points)
- Drag to position the text box
- Release and type your annotation
Callout Parts
- Anchor point: The point being referenced
- Leader line: Connects anchor to text box
- Text box: Contains your annotation
Callout Styles
- Single line: Straight leader line
- Elbow: Line with a bend
- Two-segment: Two connected lines
Cloud Callouts
Cloud callouts have a cloud-shaped border, commonly used in technical reviews.
Creating a Cloud Callout
- Select the Cloud Callout tool
- Click to place the anchor
- Drag to create the cloud shape
- Type your annotation
Cloud Properties
- Intensity: Number of cloud arcs
- Fill color: Interior color
- Border color: Cloud outline color

Move
- Drag the text box to reposition
- Drag the anchor point to change what it references
Resize
- Drag the handles on the text box
- Content reflows automatically
Edit Text
- Double-click the text box
- Modify the text
- Click outside to save
Delete
- Select the callout
- Press Delete
