Collaborate with team members using comment threads.
Adding Comments
Quick Comment
- Select any annotation tool
- Create an annotation
- Type your comment in the pop-up
Comment Panel
- Open the Comments panel (sidebar)
- Click Add Comment
- Click on the page where you want to comment
- Type your comment
Comment Panel
The Comments panel shows all comments in the document:
View Options
- List view: All comments in a list
- Page view: Grouped by page
- Author view: Grouped by author
Sorting
- By date (newest/oldest)
- By page
- By author
- By status
Filtering
- All comments
- Unresolved only
- By author
- By date range
Replying to Comments
- Click on a comment
- Click Reply
- Type your response
- Press Enter or click Send
Replies are threaded under the original comment.
Resolving Comments
Mark comments as resolved when addressed:
- Click on a comment
- Click Resolve
- The comment is marked with a checkmark
Reopen
- Click on a resolved comment
- Click Reopen
Comment Actions
Edit
- Click on your comment
- Click Edit
- Modify the text
- Click Save
Delete
- Click on your comment
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
You can only edit or delete your own comments.
Exporting Comments
Export to PDF
- Click Comments → Export → PDF
- Choose to include all or selected comments
- Download the summary PDF
Export to CSV
- Click Comments → Export → CSV
- Download the CSV file
The export includes:
- Comment text
- Author
- Date
- Page number
- Status
Notifications
Get notified about comment activity:
- New comments on documents you own
- Replies to your comments
- Mentions (@username)
Configure notifications in Settings → Notifications.
Best Practices
- Be specific about what you’re commenting on
- Use @mentions to notify specific people
- Resolve comments when addressed
- Use the filter to find unresolved items
- Export comments for record keeping
