  • All pages: Apply the same crop to every page
  • Page range: Specify pages (e.g., 1-5, 8, 12-15)
  • Odd/Even pages: Crop only odd or even pages

Crop Box Types

PDF documents support multiple crop boundaries:

Box TypeDescription
CropBoxVisible area when viewing the document
TrimBoxIntended finished page size after trimming
BleedBoxIncludes bleed area for printing
ArtBoxExtent of meaningful content

For most use cases, adjusting the CropBox is sufficient. The other box types are primarily used in print production workflows.

Preview

The crop tool shows a real-time preview:

  • Blue dashed lines indicate the new crop boundary
  • The shaded area shows content that will be hidden
  • Original page dimensions are shown for reference

Resetting Crops

To restore the original page size:

  1. Open Edit > Crop Pages
  2. Click Reset to Original

Cropping in Penvio is non-destructive. The hidden content is not deleted and can be restored by resetting the crop.
