Send a Document for Review
Get feedback and approval from colleagues or external reviewers.
Send for Review requires a Pro plan or higher. View plans
Goal
Send a document to one or more reviewers and track their responses.
Steps
Open the Document
Navigate to the document you want reviewed in the editor.
Open Share Menu
Click the Share button in the toolbar.
Select Send for Review
Choose Send for Review from the menu.
Add Reviewers
For each reviewer, enter:
- Email address
- Name
- Permissions (comment, annotate, approve)
Configure Review
Add a subject and optional message to explain what you need reviewed. Set a deadline if needed.
Send
Click Send Invitations. Reviewers receive an email with a secure link.
Tips
- Give reviewers only the permissions they need
- Include specific instructions in the message
- Set realistic deadlines
- Create a named version before sending for review
Check Progress
View review status anytime:
- Open the document
- Click Share → Review Status
- See who has responded and their decisions
External reviewers don’t need a Penvio account — they can review via the secure link.
